About the organisation
Art School Plus is a non-profit which trains and supports the culture sector and artists to develop unique art projects. We are the bridge between artists and projects, supporting the cultural sector and artists with the skills and knowledge to develop mutually beneficial relationships in distinctive contexts.
We are motivated in this work because we want to champion the role of the artist within a wider social context, as well as support a true diversity of voices and perspectives to feel empowered to develop work and projects.

Role description
Art School Plus has two main audiences, artists and cultural organisations, for whom we provide different offerings. The aim of this role is to target these two audiences, especially cultural organisations, and grow our profile, brand, following and sales.
The role is flexible in terms of hours and working patterns but requires a consistent spread of content across the month. You will work closely with the Art School Plus Director, with regular short 1:1 check-ins. You may also work with Art School Plus artists, teachers and the advisory board.
Key Responsibilities
Social media
- Manage Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. Ideas/images and the content outline will be provided by the Art School Plus Director and artists, but the Coordinator will coordinate the timings, copy and plan.
- Develop a dynamic, slick and consistent ‘look and feel’ on our social media posts.
- Develop work in partnership with other organisations and artists, with a high profile, to increase awareness and following.
Campaigns/events
- Some ‘products’ or ‘offers’ or ‘events’ are part of larger campaigns of work, so it will be necessary to interweave campaigns into social media planning.
Content Writer/Copywriter
- Develop the ‘resources’ page on the website, by developing a number of articles/interviews/think pieces.
- Decisions on priorities are to be discussed with the Art School Plus Director and Advisory Board.
Other
- Potentially support on press contact list and PR as required
- Suggest key items to push in the monthly newsletter, and provide additional copy if required
- May be asked to join project-related meetings if available and required
- Art School Plus is a small and developing organisation, so there may be new projects or marketing work which falls outside of the listed items above
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
- Familiarity with design tools (Canva) and CMS for website content management would be advantageous.
- Experience in arts, culture, or non-profit sectors.
- Good graphics and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
